Are your students bored? Do you have the same students raising their hand or participating? How can you have more meaningful learning ownership?
According to Dr. Spencer Kagan (2008), the number one reason classroom misbehavior occur is because students are either disengaged or bored. Students need to learn to take ownership for their learning, effectively communicate with their classmates, and become active participants in the classroom. In order to do this, several Kagan strategies are structured and organized to effectively help activate classroom learning and behavior (para. 3 & 8).
